Last Sunday we looked at how God challenges us to mature in our faith. As Christians God calls us to grow up beyond our infant states and grow into the people He is calling us to be. But we also recognized that maturing isn’t easy. It’s filled with growing pains. We often struggle through this growth and yet in God’s love He provides us people to help guide us as we grow. He also gives us a practice – doing truth in love – to help us along. Finally, we can find relief even amidst our growing pains because as we mature we are wrapped up in the love of Christ.
This Sunday we’ll wrap up our You Were Made for This series as we look at Ephesians 6:10-20. Together we’ll explore how God calls us to stand against the enemy. Specifically we’ll look at how we are called to stand against the devil and the powers of evil. I look forward to unpacking this passage together.
As we look toward Sunday, I’d like to ask you to join me in praying for our faith family. As you may have seen in the various emails, this week three of our older saints passed away. Let’s remember their families and friends even as many of us walk through this loss. Even in the midst of our grief we have the hope and can rest in the truth that Christ’s love and saving work are stronger than death, and we can give thanks that God has welcomed three of His children home.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Grace and Peace,
