Pastor’s Preview for December 25, 2015

Hi Friends,

Merry Christmas! I hope your Christmas week is coming together nicely. I’m looking forward to gathering together for worship Christmas morning at 10 AM. Together we’ll celebrate Jesus’ birth. You don’t want to miss it! In fact I encourage you to invite your family members, neighbors, co-workers, and friends to join us as we hear God’s word from Isaiah 62:1-12. We’ll unpack how God comes to a lonely people and promises them a Savior.

Also, you’re invited to join us this coming Sunday too. In our worship we’ll look back over 2015 and celebrate how God has been at work here at Fuller. We’ll remember those who have died, we’ll give thanks for new life, and we’ll celebrate how God has added to our community. As we look toward this service I encourage you to read the biblical text we’ll look at together – Colossians 3:12-17. I look forward to walking through it with you.

Finally, as these last few hours lead up to Christmas and as the things to do seem to grow take a moment, find a quiet space, and spend a short time reflecting over the past year. Each and every year God continues to provide for us and walk along side of us. As He ushers us into Christmas day let’s celebrate with the angels and hear their triumphant message again… “An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

So, as Christmas dawns tomorrow, as friends and family gather, as presents get unwrapped, may we join the angels and give thanks for our Savior, the Messiah, the Lord.

I look forward to seeing you in worship and Merry Christmas.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Nate
