I hope you had a great Thanksgiving celebration last weekend. Flowing out of thankful hearts we are now in the season of Advent – a time when we wait for and look forward to Christmas and celebrating the birth of Jesus. This past Sunday we began our time in Advent by looking at Jeremiah 33:1-16 as we unpacked the truth that God plucks us out of the wreckage of our lives and gives us new life. We saw that He looks over the destruction of our pasts, how He says, “Nevertheless…”, and goes on to redefine who we are. If you happened to miss the message you can hear it on our website at www.FullerCRC.org.
This Sunday we’ll consider the message of another prophet as we look at Malachi 2:17-3:6. Together we’ll explore how we experience waiting on God and how to avoid some of the pitfalls that we often fall victim to as we wait. I look forward to walking through the text with you.
A quick reminder – this weekend we’re talking all of the pictures for our directory. Hopefully you signed up and are ready to smile. If you have questions about your time slot please call the church office at (616) 241-1679.
Finally, following our morning service on Sunday we’ll be gathering for a congregational meeting in the sanctuary. At the meeting we’ll look to approve the budget for next year and celebrate how God is at work in our midst. I hope you can attend and that you’ll join us for the potluck that will follow.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Grace and Peace,
