It’s safe to say that fall has arrived. Soon the leaves will turn and pumpkins will pop-up on porches. As with each fall, our ministries are kicking into high-gear and we are excited about what God is going to do through us this year.
I hope you had the opportunity to join with us this past Saturday as we threw a party to celebrate our 90th anniversary as a church. A special thank you goes out to all who volunteered time and energy to make it a great afternoon. Last Sunday we wrapped up the celebration as we heard the challenge that God is declaring new things here at Fuller. If you happened to miss it simply click here.
This Sunday marks the start of our Global Outreach week. Over the next two weekends you are invited to join us as we recognize the 10 different missionaries we support across the globe. We’ll kick things off on Sunday morning as we look at the Great Commission Jesus gives us in Matthew 28. We’ll look at verses 1-10 and 16-20. I invite you to join us as we consider how God calls us to go out into His world with the good news of Jesus.
One quick reminder, the new book of the quarter is now available at the Ministry Center. It’s entitled Reaching Out: The Three Movements of the Spiritual Life and is written by Henri Nouwen. I encourage you to pick up a copy for a suggested $5.00. Together we’ll walk through this short read as we examine how God desires to shape our spiritual lives through solitude, hospitality, and prayer.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Grace and Peace,
